Exposition : Salon de l'auto Alain Maire est un peintre amateur relativement prolifique et touche à tout. Après sa retraite d’ingénieur en turbomachines il s’est converti à la peinture Il a été élève de Martha Kolodziej peintre naïf de Cracovie et de François Martin aux beaux-arts du Havre. Ses peintres préférés sont Utrillo, De Staël et Picasso ; Il peint à l’acrylique sur des toiles grands formats avec des couleurs joyeuses et un style très reconnaissable. Depuis le Covid il s‘est essayé avec succès aux dessins au stylobille sur canson colorié aux feutres Il réside 1/3 du temps à Plancoët, sa résidence principale est au Havre, il reste attaché à Montmartre (son enfance) et à Saint Cast (ses vacances de jeunesse dès 1952)
