From the 19th century onwards, the manual colorization of photographs became widespread. Hand colorization flourished for over a century. What kind of imaginary world are we building? And what are the links in contemporary image production?

Ab dem 19. Jahrhundert verbreitete sich das manuelle Kolorieren von Fotografien. Die Handkolorierung erlebte über ein Jahrhundert lang einen Aufschwung. Welche Vorstellungswelten werden aufgebaut? Und welche Verbindungen bestehen in der zeitgenössischen Bildproduktion?
