What if medieval music were a playground? Play Again explores the 15th century through the songs of the Escorial codex and the rich world of Hieronymus Bosch. Few Burgundian manuscripts from before 1500 have come down to us. Among them, the Escorial chansonnier IV.a.24, written in Italy around 1460-1470, bears witness to a changing repertoire: between medieval tradition and humanist élan, music becomes a space for invention and expressivity.
