Cérémonie en hommage à la 28th DI – 07-06-2025 – Gathemo

La municipalité de Gathemo en collaboration avec l'association GNR 39/45, rendent hommage à la 28th DI qui a libéré Gathemo en août 44. Une cérémonie en mémoire de soldats américains sera l'occasion d'inaugurer un mémorial pour le soldat Jérôme Nadolny et ses compatriotes tombés pour Gathemo, morts pour la France.

The municipality of Gathemo, in collaboration with the GNR 39/45 association, is paying tribute to the 28th ID which liberated Gathemo in August 44. A ceremony in memory of American soldiers will be the occasion to inaugurate a memorial for Private Jérôme Nadolny and his compatriots who fell for Gathemo and died for France.

Die Gemeinde Gathemo ehrt in Zusammenarbeit mit der Vereinigung GNR 39/45 die 28th DI, die Gathemo im August 44 befreit hat. Im Rahmen einer Gedenkfeier für amerikanische Soldaten wird ein Denkmal für den Soldaten Jerome Nadolny und seine Landsleute, die für Gathemo gefallen sind und für Frankreich starben, eingeweiht.

De gemeente Gathemo en de vereniging GNR 39/45 brengen hulde aan de 28e divisie die Gathemo in augustus 1944 bevrijdde. Tijdens een ceremonie ter nagedachtenis van de Amerikaanse soldaten wordt een gedenkteken ingehuldigd voor soldaat Jérôme Nadolny en zijn landgenoten die vielen voor Gathemo en stierven voor Frankrijk.
