Composée malgré la découverte de sa surdité incurable, la Deuxième Symphonie de Beethoven sonne comme un air de révolte joyeuse. Une envie de vivre que l’on retrouve également dans Les créatures de Prométhée, un ballet qui nous invite à imaginer le projet fou d’un titan humaniste : voler le feu des Dieux pour le donner aux Hommes. Enfin, le dansant Divertimento de Bartók dessine les angoisses du musicien aux premières heures de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale. Avec 37 musiciens sous la direction de Débora Waldman en partenariat avec la Maestra.

Composed despite the discovery of his incurable deafness, Beethoven's Second Symphony sounds like an air of joyful revolt. A zest for life is also to be found in Les créatures de Prométhée, a ballet that invites us to imagine the mad project of a humanist titan: to steal fire from the gods and give it to mankind. Finally, Bartók's dancing Divertimento portrays the musician's anguish in the early hours of the Second World War. With 37 musicians conducted by Débora Waldman in partnership with La Maestra.

Beethovens Zweite Symphonie, die trotz der Entdeckung seiner unheilbaren Taubheit komponiert wurde, klingt wie eine Melodie der fröhlichen Revolte. Eine Lebenslust, die sich auch in Die Geschöpfe des Prometheus wiederfindet, einem Ballett, das uns einlädt, uns den verrückten Plan eines humanistischen Titanen vorzustellen: das Feuer von den Göttern zu stehlen, um es den Menschen zu geben. Bartóks tänzerisches Divertimento schließlich zeichnet die Ängste des Musikers in den ersten Stunden des Zweiten Weltkriegs nach.
