Atelier du Flancou – Montsalès

Autodidacte, j'ai crée le Flancou inspiré d'un modèle ancien et je l'ai adapté pour une utilisation quotidienne. C'est un Couteau de style ‘Bouledogue’ avec une lame inoxydable (acier 14C28N) en forme ‘Pied de Mouton’. Son tranchant est résistant et peut-être utilisé pour la table, pour les préparations culinaires mais aussi pour tailler le bois et pour tout autre usage de coupe. La forme du manche offre une prise en main confortable et stable. Laiton (sans plomb) et Bois dur et dense (Buis, Chêne Vert, Frêne, Hêtre…) sont utilisés pour le manche. La longueur totale du Flancou est d'environ 16,5cm avec une lame de 3mm d'épaisseur. Le manche seul mesure entre 9 et 9.5cm. Le Flancou tire son nom de la source qui coule à Montsalès et depuis peu "Flancou" un nom protégé pour ce couteau.

Self-taught, I created the Flancou inspired by an old model and adapted it for everyday use. It's a Bulldog-style knife with a stainless blade (14C28N steel) in the shape of a Sheep's Foot. Its cutting edge is resistant and can be used for the table, for culinary preparations but also for carving wood and for any other cutting purpose. The shape of the handle provides a comfortable, stable grip. Brass (lead-free) and dense hardwoods (Boxwood, Holm Oak, Ash, Beech…) are used for the handle. The overall length of the Flancou is approximately 16.5cm with a 3mm-thick blade. The handle alone measures between 9 and 9.5cm. The Flancou takes its name from the spring that flows through Montsalès, and "Flancou" has recently become a protected name for this knife.

Als Autodidakt habe ich das Flancou nach einem alten Modell entworfen und es für den täglichen Gebrauch angepasst. Es ist ein Messer im Bulldoggenstil mit einer rostfreien Klinge (Stahl 14C28N) in Form eines Schafsfußes. Die Schneide ist sehr scharf und kann für den Tisch, zum Kochen, aber auch zum Holzschnitzen und für andere Schneidzwecke verwendet werden. Der Griff ist so geformt, dass er bequem und stabil in der Hand liegt. Für den Griff werden Messing (bleifrei) und hartes, dichtes Holz (Buchsbaum, Steineiche, Esche, Buche…) verwendet. Die Gesamtlänge des Flancou beträgt ca. 16,5 cm mit einer 3 mm dicken Klinge. Der Griff allein ist zwischen 9 und 9,5 cm lang. Das Flancou hat seinen Namen von der Quelle, die in Montsalès fließt, und seit kurzem ist "Flancou" ein geschützter Name für dieses Messer.

Als autodidact heb ik de Flancou gemaakt, geïnspireerd op een oud model en aangepast voor dagelijks gebruik. Het is een bulldog-mes met een roestvrij lemmet (14C28N staal) in de vorm van een schapenpoot. Het heeft een slijtvast snijvlak dat kan worden gebruikt voor op tafel, om te koken, om hout te snijden en voor alle andere snijdoeleinden. De vorm van het handvat zorgt voor een comfortabele, stabiele grip. Het handvat is gemaakt van loodvrij messing en dicht hardhout (buxus, steeneik, es, beuk, enz.). De totale lengte van de Flancou is ongeveer 16,5 cm met een 3 mm dik lemmet. Het handvat alleen al meet tussen de 9 en 9,5cm. De Flancou ontleent zijn naam aan de bron die door Montsalès stroomt, en "Flancou" is sinds kort een beschermde naam voor dit mes.

Tiene un filo resistente que puede utilizarse para la mesa, para cocinar, para tallar madera y para cualquier otro propósito de corte. La forma del mango proporciona un agarre cómodo y estable. El mango está fabricado con latón sin plomo y madera dura densa (boj, encina, fresno, haya, etc.). La longitud total del Flancou es de unos 16,5 cm con una hoja de 3 mm de grosor. Sólo el mango mide entre 9 y 9,5 cm. El Flancou toma su nombre del manantial que fluye por el Montsalès, y "Flancou" se ha convertido recientemente en un nombre protegido para este cuchillo.

È un coltello stile bulldog con una lama inossidabile (acciaio 14C28N) a forma di piede di pecora. Ha un tagliente resistente che può essere utilizzato per la tavola, per cucinare, per intagliare il legno e per tutti gli altri scopi di taglio. La forma del manico garantisce una presa comoda e stabile. Il manico è realizzato in ottone privo di piombo e in legni duri e densi (bosso, leccio, frassino, faggio, ecc.). La lunghezza complessiva del Flancou è di circa 16,5 cm con una lama spessa 3 mm. Il solo manico misura tra i 9 e i 9,5 cm. Il Flancou prende il nome dalla sorgente che attraversa Montsalès, e "Flancou" è diventato recentemente un nome protetto per questo coltello.
