Les Chars Romains et Chars de combat – Orrouy

Situé entre la forêt de Compiègne et la vallée de l’Automne, cet itinéraire forestier débute sur un site historique d’exception. De part et d'autre de « la chaussée Brunehaut », les ruines gallo-romaines de Champlieu composée d'un temple monumental, d'un théâtre antique et de thermes sont en visite libre. A l’orée du bois La borne casquée est une stèle commémorative de la Grande Guerre. Elle est localisée à l’emplacement du campement des chars du Général Mangin dont il ne reste plus rien de visible.

Situated between the forest of Compiègne and the Autumn Valley, this forest itinerary starts on an exceptional historical site.
