Circuit des Fontaines – PR 33 – Archingeay

Le « village sur une hauteur entouré de bois », telle est la traduction d’Arcantiacum, ancien nom celtique d’Archingeay. Les fontaines sont nombreuses dans les environs. Celle de la Vallée eut même une réputation de fontaine guérisseuse.

The "village on a hill surrounded by woods" is the translation of Arcantiacum, the ancient Celtic name for Archingeay. There are many fountains in the area. The fountain at La Vallée even had a reputation as a healing fountain.

Das "Dorf auf einer Anhöhe, umgeben von Wäldern", so lautet die Übersetzung von Arcantiacum, dem alten keltischen Namen von Archingeay. In der Umgebung gibt es zahlreiche Brunnen. Der Brunnen von La Vallée hatte sogar den Ruf eines Heilbrunnens.
