Elle comprend 86 photographies en noir et blanc, dont la moitié consacrées à la vie rurale lozérienne. Cet ensemble, réalisé dans les années 1980-2000, capture la terre et celles et ceux qui la travaillent, dans une démarche à la fois documentaire et sensible. Raymond Depardon, né en 1942, est un photographe et réalisateur français à la renommée internationale. Membre de l’agence de presse photographique Magnum depuis 1978, il a été lauréat du Grand Prix national de la photographie en 1991. Il est l’auteur d’une œuvre foisonnante nourrie d’inspirations variées et de multiples voyages. À travers une présentation par zones géographiques et grands thèmes de la série, soutenue par une scénographie sobre, l’exposition du musée du Gévaudan permettra de valoriser un aspect essentiel du territoire lozérien et d’autres départements voisins (Haute-Loire, Ardèche, Hérault…) : la vie quotidienne rurale avec ses acteurs, ses caractéristiques, ses évolutions, ainsi que la manière dont elle peut être perçue, partagée, magnifiée, pour porter à réflexions. ➡️ Cette exposition est en lien avec deux événements majeurs de 2026 : l’année internationale de l’Agro-pastoralisme (décrétée par l’UNESCO) et l’inauguration du Bicentenaire de la photographie. ⚠️ Tarifs entrée de l’exposition : • 8 € tarif plein • 4 € tarif réduit (plus de 65 ans, de 6 à 18 ans, personnes en situation de handicap, étudiant·es, personnes en recherche d'emploi…) • Gratuité pour les enfants de 0 à 5 ans, les titulaires des minimas sociaux et les partenaires du musée.

This collection, created between 1980 and 2000, captures the land and those who work it, in a style that is both documentary and sensitive. Raymond Depardon, born in 1942, is an internationally renowned French photographer and filmmaker. A member of the Magnum photo agency since 1978, he was awarded the Grand Prix national de la photographie in 1991. He is the author of a prolific body of work drawing on varied inspirations and numerous travels. Through a presentation organized by geographic regions and major themes of the series, supported by a minimalist design, the exhibition at the Musée du Gévaudan will highlight an essential aspect of the Lozère region and other neighboring departments (Haute-Loire, Ardèche, Hérault, etc.): rural daily life with its people, its characteristics, and its evolution, as well as the ways in which it can be perceived, shared, and celebrated, to inspire reflection. ?? Seit 1978 ist er Mitglied der Fotoagentur Magnum und wurde 1991 mit dem Grand Prix national de la photographie ausgezeichnet. Er ist Autor eines reichhaltigen Werks, das von vielfältigen Inspirationen und zahlreichen Reisen geprägt ist. Durch eine nach geografischen Regionen und großen Themen der Serie gegliederte Präsentation, unterstützt durch eine schlichte Inszenierung, wird die Ausstellung im Musée du Gévaudan einen wesentlichen Aspekt des Gebiets des Lozère und anderer benachbarter Departements (Haute-Loire, Ardèche, Hérault…) hervorheben: das ländliche Alltagsleben mit seinen Akteuren, seinen Merkmalen und seiner Entwicklung sowie die Art und Weise, wie es wahrgenommen, geteilt und verherrlicht werden kann, um zum Nachdenken anzuregen. ??
