Description
Le spot de la Bougie se situe au sud de la baie de Saint-Jean-de-Luz, et plus précisément à Socoa, au port de Ciboure, dans l'alignement de la sortie de la rivière l'Untxin. Le spot doit son nom à la balise qui se trouve à cet endroit, et que les surfeurs ont appelé "La Bougie".
La vague ne marche que par grosse houle et à marée basse. Pour avoir l'occasion de surfer ce spot, il faut donc que les bonnes conditions soient réunies : forte houle, marée basse et vent de sud/sud-ouest. Cette vague est très appréciée pour la pratique du stand-up-paddle et du longboard. Une fois au line-up, vous aurez la chance de pouvoir apprécier des vues magnifiques sur la Rhune, le Fort de Socoa et toute la baie de Saint-Jean-de-Luz.

The spot la Bougie is situated in the South of the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, and more exactly to Socoa, to the port of Ciboure, in the alignment of the exit of the river Untxin. The spot owes its name to the beacon which is in this place, and that the surfers called " The Candle ". The wave works only by big swell and to low tide. To have the opportunity to surf this spot, the good conditions thus have to be combined: strong swell, low tide and wind of South / southwest. This wave is very appreciated for the practice of the stand-up-paddle and the longboard. Der Spot La Bougie befindet sich im Süden der Bucht von Saint-Jean-de-Luz, genauer gesagt in Socoa, am Hafen von Ciboure, in der Flucht des Auslaufs des Flusses Untxin. Der Spot verdankt seinen Namen dem Leuchtfeuer, das sich an dieser Stelle befindet und von den Surfern "La Bougie" (Die Kerze) genannt wird.
Die Welle funktioniert nur bei starkem Wellengang und Ebbe. El paraje de La Bougie está situado en el sur de la bahía de San Juan de Luz, y más concretamente en Socoa, en el puerto de Ciboure, en línea con la salida del río Untxin. El lugar debe su nombre al faro que se encuentra allí, y que los surfistas han llamado "La Bougie".
La ola sólo funciona con grandes marejadas y en marea baja. Para tener la oportunidad de surfear este spot, se necesitan las condiciones adecuadas: gran oleaje, marea baja y viento del sur/suroeste. Esta ola es muy popular para el stand-up paddle y el longboard. Una vez en la alineación, tendrá la oportunidad de disfrutar de unas magníficas vistas de la Rhune, el Fuerte de Socoa y toda la bahía de San Juan de Luz.

L'onda funziona solo con grandi mareggiate e con la bassa marea. Per avere l'opportunità di surfare su questo spot, sono necessarie le condizioni giuste: grandi onde, bassa marea e vento da sud/sud-ovest. Quest'onda è molto popolare per lo stand-up paddling e il longboard. Una volta arrivati all'allineamento, potrete godere di una magnifica vista sulla Rhune, sul Forte di Socoa e sull'intera baia di Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
