Sentier du Bois du Verdillon – Gardanne

Le sentier du Bois du Verdillon s’appelait le sentier des Helvelles, en référence au petit champignon au chapeau blanc légèrement chiffonné qui poussait à foison sur ce parcours. Mais les trop fortes chaleurs toujours exponentielles auraient eu raison de lui. Ce sentier était autrefois jalonné de bornes en bois valorisant des indications botaniques. Vous trouverez sur votre chemin quelques bornes restantes. Au point culminant de la randonnée, est installée une table d’orientation. De là-haut, vous profiterez d’un panorama courant du Pilon du Roy, aux terrils, le chevalement du Puits Yvon Morandat, les cheminées de la Centrale, le village et la nature omniprésente qui embrasse tout cela.

The Bois du Verdillon trail used to be called the Helvelles trail, in reference to the little mushroom with the slightly crumpled white cap that grew abundantly on this route. But the ever-increasing heat would have had its way with it. In the past, this trail was marked by wooden markers with botanical information. You'll find a few remaining markers along the way. At the highest point of the hike, there is an orientation table. From up there, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Pilon du Roy, the slag heaps, the Yvon Morandat shaft, the chimneys of the power station, the village and the omnipresent nature that embraces it all.

Der Weg durch den Bois du Verdillon hieß früher Helvelles-Pfad, in Anlehnung an den kleinen Pilz mit dem weißen, leicht zerknautschten Hut, der auf dieser Strecke zuhauf wuchs. El camino del Bois du Verdillon se llamaba el camino de las Helvelles, en referencia a la pequeña seta con el sombrero blanco ligeramente arrugado que crecía abundantemente en esta ruta. Pero el calor, cada vez más intenso, habría podido con él. Antiguamente, este sendero estaba señalizado con hitos de madera con información botánica.
