À mi chemin entre le musée d’art contemporain et la bibliothèque, l’artothèque tente de restituer dans le quotidien de chacun le temps du regard et de la contemplation, mais aussi celui de la confrontation des œuvres à la vraie vie.

Halfway between a museum of contemporary art and a library, the artothèque aims to restore time for viewing and contemplation to everyday life, as well as time for confronting works of art with real life.

Auf halbem Weg zwischen einem Museum für zeitgenössische Kunst und einer Bibliothek versucht die Artothek, die Zeit des Betrachtens und der Kontemplation, aber auch die Zeit der Konfrontation der Werke mit dem wirklichen Leben in den Alltag jedes Einzelnen zurückzubringen.

De artotheek houdt het midden tussen een museum voor hedendaagse kunst en een bibliotheek en wil het dagelijks leven weer de tijd geven om te kijken en te contempleren, maar ook om kunstwerken te confronteren met het echte leven.

A medio camino entre un museo de arte contemporáneo y una biblioteca, la artothèque pretende devolver a la vida cotidiana el tiempo de mirar y contemplar, así como el de confrontar las obras de arte con la vida real.
