Les Romains s’y installent dès le Ier siècle av. JC. Ils y développent l’agriculture et le réseau routier. Les XIe et XIIe siècle voient fleurir l’art roman. Le système féodal s’y épanoui plus qu’ailleurs. La commune est ensuite orientée essentiellement vers l’exploitation de la vigne.

The Romans settled there as early as the first century BC. They developed agriculture and the road network. The 11th and 12th centuries saw the flourishing of Romanesque art. The feudal system flourished here more than anywhere else. The commune is then essentially oriented towards the exploitation of the vine.

Die Römer ließen sich bereits im 1. Jahrhundert v. Chr. dort nieder. Sie entwickelten die Landwirtschaft und das Straßennetz. Im 11. und 12. Jahrhundert blüht die romanische Kunst. Das Feudalsystem blüht hier stärker als anderswo. In der Folgezeit wurde in der Gemeinde vor allem Wein angebaut.

De Romeinen vestigden zich hier in de 1e eeuw voor Christus. Ze ontwikkelden de landbouw en het wegennet. De Romaanse kunst bloeide in de 11e en 12e eeuw. Het feodale systeem bloeide hier meer dan elders. De gemeente was toen vooral gericht op de exploitatie van de wijnstok.

Los romanos se instalaron aquí en el siglo I a.C. Desarrollaron la agricultura y la red de carreteras. El arte románico floreció en los siglos XI y XII. El sistema feudal floreció aquí más que en otros lugares. La comuna se orientaba entonces esencialmente hacia la explotación de la vid.
