Prieuré de Saint-André-de-Rosans – Saint-André-de-Rosans

Le prieuré clunisien de Saint-André de Rosans est fondé en 988. Le site conserve les vestiges de ses décors sculptés et de ses pavements, remarquables témoins de l’art roman provençal. Un parcours dans le village médiéval prolonge la visite.

The story began in 988 with the founding of Saint André de Rosans Priory on the site of a previous, so-called primitive church. It was on these foundations that the first church of the Benedictine priory would be built in the 11th century. The church was than altered and extended in the course of the 12th century.

Die Geschichte beginnt 988 mit der Gründung der Klosterkirche St. André de Rosans auf den Grundlagen einer alten, so genannten primitiven Kirche. Auf diesen Fundamenten wird die erste Kirche der Benediktiner im 11. Jh. gebaut. Danach wird die Kirche im 12. Jh. umgebaut und vergrößert.

De geschiedenis begint in 988 toen de Priorij van St André van Rosans gesticht werd op de funderingen van een oude primitieve kerk. Het is op die funderingen dat de eerste kerk van de Benedictijnse priorij gebouwd zal worden in de XIde eeuw. Daarna wordt de kerk omgevormd en uitgebreid in de loop van de XIIde eeuw.

El priorato cluniacense de Saint-André de Rosans fue fundado en 988. El lugar conserva restos de sus decoraciones esculpidas y pavimentos, notables ejemplos del arte románico provenzal. Un recorrido por el pueblo medieval prolonga la visita.

La storia inizia nel 988 durante la fondazione del priorato di St André de Rosans sulle fondamenta di un'antica chiesa, detta primitiva. Su queste fondamenta sarà costruita la prima chiesa del priorato benedettino nel XIesimo secolo. La chiesa é stata in seguito modificata ed ingrandita nel corso del XIIesimo secolo.
