La madone du Langenberg – Falck

La Madone domine silencieusement le sommet du Langenberg. Cette statue de 1,5 m de haut a été érigée en 1866. Protégée par la forêt, elle a survécu au temps et aux guerres. D'après la légende, un garde forestier serait à l'origine de ce monument, en reconnaissance à la Sainte qui lui aurait montré le chemin alors qu'il était perdu dans le brouillard de cette forêt. "Silvae ac in illa orantibus Maria benedicat" gravé sur le socle signifie "Que Marie bénisse cette forêt et tous ceux qui viennent y prier".

Our Lady silently dominates the summit of the Langenberg. The 1.5 m high statue was erected in 1866. Protected by the forest, it has survived time and wars. Legend has it that a forest ranger was the originator of this monument, in gratitude to the Saint who showed him the way when he was lost in the fog of the forest. "Silvae ac in illa orantibus Maria benedicat" engraved on the base means "May Mary bless this forest and all those who come to pray here".

Der Legende nach hat ein Förster dieses Denkmal aus Dankbarkeit gegenüber der Heiligen errichtet, die ihm den Weg gezeigt hat, als er sich im Nebel dieses Waldes verirrt hatte. "Silvae ac in illa orantibus Maria benedicat" auf dem Sockel eingraviert bedeutet "Maria segne diesen Wald und alle, die hierher kommen, um zu beten".
