Fort Boyard – Saint-Georges-d'Oléron

Projeté dès la construction de l'arsenal de Rochefort au XVIIème siècle, Fort Boyard ne s'élèvera au-dessus des flots que bien péniblement, après un chantier à péripéties – qui prendra une bonne partie du XIXème siècle.

Planned as soon as the Rochefort arsenal was built in the 17th century, Fort Boyard was to rise above the waves only with great difficulty, after a construction site with many ups and downs – which would take up a good part of the 19th century.

Fort Boyard wurde bereits beim Bau des Arsenals von Rochefort im 17. Jahrhundert geplant und erhob sich erst nach einer abenteuerlichen Bauzeit, die sich über das gesamte 19.

Fort Boyard, gepland sinds de bouw van het arsenaal van Rochefort in de 17e eeuw, zal pas met veel moeite boven de golven uitkomen, na een bouwput vol ups en downs – die een groot deel van de 19e eeuw in beslag zal nemen.

Proyectado desde la construcción del arsenal de Rochefort en el siglo XVII, el Fuerte Boyard sólo se elevará por encima de las olas con gran dificultad, tras una obra llena de altibajos, que durará buena parte del siglo XIX.

Progettato fin dalla costruzione dell'arsenale di Rochefort nel XVII secolo, Fort Boyard si innalzerà sopra le onde solo con grande difficoltà, dopo un cantiere pieno di alti e bassi – che richiederà buona parte del XIX secolo.
