Eglise Saint-Pierre de Civrac-Médoc – Civrac-en-Médoc

Certaines sculptures archaïques, peut-être antérieures à l’édifice chrétien, indiquent éventuellement l’implantation d’un temple gallo-romain sur le site. L’édifice conserve une abside romane du XIIème siècle et des traces de fortifications, rares dans le Médoc. Église fermée au public en dehors des cérémonies.

Some archaic sculptures, perhaps predating the Christian building, possibly indicate the presence of a Gallo-Roman temple on the site. The building still has a 12th century Romanesque apse and traces of fortifications, rare in the Médoc. The church is closed to the public outside of ceremonies.

Einige archaische Skulpturen, die möglicherweise vor dem christlichen Gebäude entstanden sind, deuten eventuell auf einen gallorömischen Tempel an diesem Ort hin. Das Gebäude besitzt noch eine romanische Apsis aus dem 12. Jahrhundert und Spuren von Befestigungen, die im Médoc selten sind. Die Kirche ist außerhalb von Zeremonien für die Öffentlichkeit geschlossen.

Enkele archaïsche beeldhouwwerken, misschien van vóór het christelijke gebouw, wijzen mogelijk op de aanwezigheid van een Gallo-Romeinse tempel op het terrein. Het gebouw heeft nog een romaanse apsis uit de 12e eeuw en sporen van vestingwerken, zeldzaam in de Médoc. De kerk is gesloten voor het publiek buiten de ceremonies.

El edificio conserva un ábside románico del siglo XII y restos de fortificaciones, poco frecuentes en el Médoc. La iglesia está cerrada al público fuera de las ceremonias.
