ÉGLISE SAINT NICOLAS

C'est au coeur de la pittoresque place Dalton que s'élève la plus vielle église de Boulogne-sur-Mer. Son nom fait écho au saint patron du monde de la mer : Saint-Nicolas. Construite au XIIème siècle, elle fut remaniée plusieurs fois. La façade et la nef du XVIIIème siècle, remodelées par Giraux Sannier, prolongent un transept et un choeur remontant à la période gothique. Au pied de cette charmante église se déroule chaque mercredi et samedi matin le marché. Ouvert tous les jours de 15h à 18h.

It is in the heart of the picturesque Place Dalton that the oldest church in Boulogne-sur-Mer stands. Its name echoes the patron saint of the sea world: Saint-Nicolas. Built in the 12th century, it was modified several times. The façade and the nave of the 18th century, remodelled by Giraux Sannier, extend a transept and a choir dating back to the Gothic period. At the foot of this charming church is held every Wednesday and Saturday morning the market Open every day from 3pm to 6pm.

Im Herzen des malerischen Dalton-Platzes steht die älteste Kirche von Boulogne-sur-Mer. Ihr Name erinnert an den Schutzheiligen der Seefahrt: Saint-Nicolas. Die im 12.
