Châteauneuf-sur-Isère

Remarquablement étendue, la commune de Châteauneuf-sur-Isère se compose d’un bourg occupant un ancien site castral démantelé au XVIe siècle et de nombreux écarts correspondant à d’anciens domaines seigneuriaux ou religieux.

This lovely village is typical of the villages in this area. Châteauneuf boasts a dozen troglodyte dwellings (little cave houses dug out of the rock). There’s a fabulous panorama from Chapelle Saint Hugues. For nature lovers, the Véloroute cycle path which Châteauneuf is the departure and it runs through the départements of Isère, Savoie and Haute-Savoie, joining the ViaRhôna route at the other end of the River Ain.

Dieses charmante Dorf ist für die umliegenden Dörfer charakteristisch. Bis heute gibt es im Dorf etwa zehn Troglodytenhäuser (kleine in Stein gebaute Häuser). Von der Kapelle Saint Hugues aus bietet sich ein herrliches Panorama. Für Naturliebhaber beginnt die "grüne Fahrradroute" (VélorouteVoie Verte) in Châteauneuf-sur-Isère, führt dann weiter entlang Isère, Savoie und Haute-Savoie und erreicht Viarhôna im Norden an der Grenze von Ain.

Voor natuurliefhebbers begint de fietsroute Voie Verte in Châteauneuf-sur-Isère, die daarna verdergaat in Isère, Savoie en Haute-Savoie, om in het noorden de ViaRhôna te bereiken aan de grens van de Ain.
