Les premières traces de l'activité thermale à La Bourboule remontent au XVème siècle : l'établissement rudimentaire avec baignoires en bois de Jean Lacombe est mentionné dès 1463. Le hameau prend le nom de 'La Borbola' ; du nom du dieu celte Borvo.

The first traces of the thermal activity in La Bourboule go back to the 15th century: the rudimentary establishment with wooden baths of Jean Lacombe is mentioned as early as 1463. The hamlet takes the name of 'La Borbola'; from the name of the Celtic god Borvo.

Die ersten Spuren der Thermalaktivität in La Bourboule gehen auf das 15. Jahrhundert zurück: Die rudimentäre Einrichtung mit Holzbadewannen von Jean Lacombe wird bereits 1463 erwähnt. Der Weiler erhält den Namen 'La Borbola'; benannt nach dem keltischen Gott Borvo.

De eerste sporen van thermale activiteit in La Bourboule gaan terug tot de 15e eeuw: de rudimentaire inrichting met houten baden van Jean Lacombe wordt al in 1463 genoemd. Het gehucht werd 'La Borbola' genoemd naar de Keltische god Borvo.
