L’itinéraire peu ordinaire d’un agriculteur du Périgord devenu… comédien ! Jean-Baptiste fut durant 10 ans agriculteur sur la commune de Ste-Orse, près du château de Hautefort. Enfant, ce monument berçait ses rêves de théâtre. Molière lui-même y aurait trouvé son Avare dit-on… L’univers du comédien s’est développé autour, dans cette campagne qui l’a vu naître, nourri de cette nature et des personnages authentiques qui l’habitent. C’est cette authenticité qui porte Jean-Baptiste depuis toujours et jusque dans son art.

The Unusual Journey of a Farmer from the Périgord Who Became… an Actor! For 10 years, Jean-Baptiste was a farmer in the town of Sainte-Orse, near the Château de Hautefort. As a child, this historic site inspired his dreams of theater. It is said that Molière himself found inspiration for his play *The Miser* there. The world of acting took shape around him in the countryside where he was born, nourished by nature and the authentic people who live there. It is this authenticity that has always driven Jean-Baptiste, even in his art.

Der ungewöhnliche Werdegang eines Landwirts aus dem Périgord, der zum Schauspieler wurde! Jean-Baptiste war 10 Jahre lang Landwirt in der Gemeinde Ste-Orse, in der Nähe des Schlosses von Hautefort. Als Kind weckte dieses Bauwerk seine Träume vom Theater. Man sagt, Molière selbst habe dort seinen „Geizigen“ gefunden. Die Welt des Schauspielers hat sich um ihn herum entwickelt, in dieser Landschaft, in der er geboren wurde, genährt von dieser Natur und den authentischen Menschen, die dort leben. Es ist diese Authentizität, die Jean-Baptiste seit jeher und bis in seine Kunst hinein prägt.

Het bijzondere levensverhaal van een boer uit de Périgord die acteur werd! Jean-Baptiste was tien jaar lang boer in de gemeente Sainte-Orse, vlakbij het kasteel van Hautefort. Als kind koesterde hij bij dit monument zijn theaterdromen. Men zegt dat Molière er zelf zijn „De vrek“ zou hebben gevonden? De wereld van de acteur heeft zich hieromheen ontwikkeld, op het platteland waar hij geboren is, gevoed door deze natuur en de authentieke mensen die er wonen. Het is deze authenticiteit die Jean-Baptiste altijd al heeft gedreven, ook in zijn kunst.
