L’histoire flirte avec le fantastique : un garçon de dix ans parie qu’il tiendra son bras levé… sans jamais le baisser. Déconcertés, puis alarmés, ses parents font appel à une pédopsychiatre, qui abandonne rapidement face à cet enfant insaisissable. Les années passent, et l’enfant devient tour à tour sujet de railleries, curiosité médicale, puis icône de la scène artistique. Studio Monstre est une compagnie théâtrale fondée par Mathilde Souchaud, metteuse en scène et autrice, et Théophile Sclavis, comédien et marionnettiste, tous deux formés à l’ENSATT de Lyon. Engagée dans la découverte et le partage des écritures dramatiques contemporaines, la compagnie explore des formes théâtrales mêlant jeu d’acteur, marionnette et théâtre d’objets, pour interroger les normes esthétiques et psychologiques du théâtre.

The story flirts with the fantastic: a ten-year-old boy bets that he'll hold his arm up? and never let it down. Disconcerted, then alarmed, his parents call in a child psychiatrist, who quickly gives up in the face of this elusive child. Years go by, and the child becomes in turn the subject of ridicule, a medical curiosity, then an icon of the art scene. Studio Monstre is a theater company founded by Mathilde Souchaud, director and author, and Théophile Sclavis, actor and puppeteer, both trained at ENSATT in Lyon. Committed to discovering and sharing contemporary dramatic writing, the company explores theatrical forms combining acting, puppetry and object theater, to question the aesthetic and psychological norms of theater.

Die Geschichte grenzt an Fantasy: Ein zehnjähriger Junge wettet, dass er seinen Arm hochhalten kann, ohne ihn jemals zu senken. Seine Eltern sind erst verwirrt, dann alarmiert und wenden sich an eine Kinderpsychologin, die jedoch bald aufgibt, weil das Kind nicht zu fassen ist. Die Jahre vergehen und das Kind wird zum Gegenstand des Spotts, zur medizinischen Kuriosität und zur Ikone der Kunstszene. Studio Monstre ist eine Theatergruppe, die von Mathilde Souchaud, Regisseurin und Autorin, und Théophile Sclavis, Schauspieler und Puppenspieler, die beide an der ENSATTT in Lyon ausgebildet wurden, gegründet wurde. Die Theatergruppe engagiert sich für die Entdeckung und den Austausch zeitgenössischer Dramen und erforscht Theaterformen, die Schauspielerei, Marionetten und Objekttheater miteinander verbinden, um die ästhetischen und psychologischen Normen des Theaters zu hinterfragen.

Het verhaal flirt met het fantastische: een tienjarige jongen wedt dat hij zijn arm omhoog zal houden en nooit meer zal laten zakken. Onthutst en vervolgens gealarmeerd roepen zijn ouders de hulp in van een kinderpsychiater, die al snel opgeeft tegenover dit ongrijpbare kind. In de loop der jaren werd het kind het onderwerp van spot, een medische curiositeit en vervolgens een icoon in de kunstwereld. Studio Monstre is een theatergezelschap opgericht door Mathilde Souchaud, regisseur en auteur, en Théophile Sclavis, acteur en poppenspeler, die beiden hun opleiding volgden aan ENSATT in Lyon. Toegewijd aan het ontdekken en delen van hedendaagse dramatische teksten, verkent het gezelschap theatrale vormen die acteren, poppenspel en objecttheater combineren, waarbij de esthetische en psychologische normen van het theater in vraag worden gesteld.

Con el paso de los años, el niño se convierte en objeto de burla, en una curiosidad médica y luego en un icono de la escena artística. Studio Monstre es una compañía de teatro fundada por Mathilde Souchaud, directora y autora, y Théophile Sclavis, actor y titiritero, ambos formados en la ENSATT de Lyon. Sconcertati, poi allarmati, i genitori chiamano uno psichiatra infantile, che si arrende rapidamente di fronte a questo bambino sfuggente. Con il passare degli anni, il bambino diventa oggetto di scherno, curiosità medica e poi icona della scena artistica. Studio Monstre è una compagnia teatrale fondata da Mathilde Souchaud, regista e autrice, e Théophile Sclavis, attore e burattinaio, entrambi formatisi all'ENSATT di Lione. Impegnata a scoprire e condividere la scrittura drammatica contemporanea, la compagnia esplora forme teatrali che combinano recitazione, marionette e teatro d'oggetti, mettendo in discussione le norme estetiche e psicologiche del teatro.
