First performed at the Opéra Comique in 1899, this version of Cinderella turns classical codes on their head: no pumpkins, no glass slippers, but a meeting of lonely souls supported by a sublime score. Mariame Clément plays with Belle Époque clichés (crinolines, Méliès cinema) while questioning the myth with poetry and modernity… For the fourth year running, the Opéra national de Paris spoils its audiences with a new recording, to be discovered free of charge in the Micro-Folie network during a one-off screening.
