Killy Beall, une vie de création – 12-07-2025 – Anglet

À l’occasion des 100 ans de Killy Beall, née Jacqueline Blanchet, la Ville d’Anglet souhaite, à travers une exposition intime, rendre hommage à l’artiste et célébrer l’esprit de création autant que l’engagement citoyen de celle qui a marqué la scène artistique locale, notamment par ses interventions au cœur du paysage angloy. Ce lien indéfectible entre Killy Beall et la Ville d’Anglet s’est aussi matérialisé par l’acquisition d’œuvres dès la fin des années 1980, venues enrichir les collections municipales, et plus récemment par un généreux don de l’artiste en 2018. Réunissant une trentaine d’œuvres – peintures à l’encre, à l’acrylique et céramiques – issues de la collection municipale ainsi que de la collection personnelle de l’artiste, l’exposition se consacre à la production des années 1960, et plus spécifiquement au tournant opéré par l’artiste vers l’abstraction.

On the occasion of the 100th birthday of Killy Beall, née Jacqueline Blanchet, the town of Anglet wishes, through an intimate exhibition, to pay tribute to the artist and celebrate the creative spirit and civic commitment of a woman who left her mark on the local art scene, notably through her interventions in the heart of the Anglet landscape. The unfailing link between Killy Beall and the town of Anglet has also materialized through the acquisition of works in the late 1980s, which have enriched the municipal collections, and more recently through a generous donation by the artist in 2018. Bringing together some thirty works – ink and acrylic paintings and ceramics – from the municipal collection and the artist?s personal collection, the exhibition focuses on the artist?s output of the 1960s, and more specifically on his turn towards abstraction.

Anlässlich des 100. Geburtstags von Killy Beall, geborene Jacqueline Blanchet, möchte die Stadt Anglet die Künstlerin mit einer intimen Ausstellung ehren und den kreativen Geist sowie das bürgerschaftliche Engagement dieser Frau feiern, die die lokale Kunstszene vor allem durch ihre Interventionen in der Landschaft Anglets geprägt hat. Die untrennbare Verbindung zwischen Killy Beall und der Stadt Anglet zeigt sich auch darin, dass sie seit Ende der 1980er Jahre Werke erworben hat, die die städtischen Sammlungen bereicherten, sowie in einer großzügigen Schenkung der Künstlerin im Jahr 2018. Die Ausstellung umfasst rund 30 Werke – Tusche- und Acrylgemälde sowie Keramiken – aus der städtischen Sammlung sowie aus der persönlichen Sammlung des Künstlers.

Ter gelegenheid van de 100e geboortedag van Killy Beall, Jacqueline Blanchet, organiseert de stad Anglet een intieme tentoonstelling om hulde te brengen aan de kunstenares en de creatieve geest en burgerzin te vieren van een vrouw die haar stempel heeft gedrukt op de plaatselijke kunstscène, met name door haar interventies in het hart van het Angletse landschap. De onwrikbare band tussen Killy Beall en de stad Anglet blijkt ook uit de aankoop van werken eind jaren 1980, die de collecties van de stad hebben verrijkt, en meer recentelijk uit een genereuze schenking van de kunstenares in 2018. De tentoonstelling brengt een dertigtal werken samen – inkt- en acrylschilderijen en keramiek – uit de gemeentelijke collectie en uit de persoonlijke verzameling van de kunstenaar. Ze focust op de productie van de kunstenaar vanaf de jaren 1960, en meer bepaald op zijn evolutie naar abstractie.

Con motivo del centenario del nacimiento de Killy Beall, de soltera Jacqueline Blanchet, la ciudad de Anglet organiza una exposición íntima para rendir homenaje a la artista y celebrar el espíritu creativo y el compromiso cívico de una mujer que dejó su impronta en la escena artística local, especialmente a través de sus intervenciones en el corazón del paisaje de Anglet. El vínculo inquebrantable entre Killy Beall y la ciudad de Anglet también ha quedado demostrado por la adquisición de obras a finales de la década de 1980, que han enriquecido las colecciones de la ciudad, y más recientemente por una generosa donación de la artista en 2018. Reuniendo una treintena de obras -pinturas en tinta y acrílico y cerámicas- procedentes de la colección municipal y de la colección personal del artista, la exposición se centra en la producción del artista a partir de los años 60, y más concretamente en su giro hacia la abstracción.

In occasione del centesimo compleanno di Killy Beall, nata Jacqueline Blanchet, la città di Anglet organizza una mostra intima per rendere omaggio all'artista e celebrare lo spirito creativo e l'impegno civile di una donna che ha lasciato il segno sulla scena artistica locale, in particolare attraverso i suoi interventi nel cuore del paesaggio di Anglet. Il legame indissolubile tra Killy Beall e la città di Anglet è stato dimostrato anche dall'acquisizione di opere alla fine degli anni '80, che hanno arricchito le collezioni della città, e più recentemente da una generosa donazione dell'artista nel 2018. Riunendo una trentina di opere – dipinti a inchiostro e acrilico e ceramiche – provenienti dalla collezione comunale e dalla collezione personale dell'artista, la mostra si concentra sulla produzione dell'artista a partire dagli anni Sessanta, e più in particolare sulla sua svolta verso l'astrazione.
