Max commence sa carrière dans le gospel en 1987 en codirigeant un jeune chœur de gospel " Gospel Chords Singers ".Un an plus tard, il décide de voler de ses propres ailes et crée "Gospel Voices".Il est l'un des précurseurs du mouvement gospel en France avec Gospel Voices et aussi créateur artistique et chef de chœur du concept original "Gospel pour 100 Voix" en 1998, avec deux représentations au Palais des Sports lors du 15ème anniversaire de l'Abolition de l'Esclavage, où 9000 personnes purent apprécier ce spectacle.
