Métissage enivrant de blues et de Taranta italienne. Sweet Release est le deuxième album des maîtres musiciens Justin Adams et Mauro Durante. Trois années de tournées mondiales ont transformé ce qui était à l’origine, un projet de fusion, en une entité unique et pleinement réalisée. Leur paysage musical s’étend du rockabilly brut à l’extase soufie, en passant par le minimalisme. Un univers vaste construit sur l’expérience de Mauro Durante dans la Taranta avec Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino (venus à deux reprises au festival en 2012 et 2024) et son travail avec Ludovico Einaudi, et sur la carrière prolifique de Justin Adams en tant que guitariste, bordée d’une liste impressionnante de musiciens, de Sinéad O’Connor à Robert Plant et Tinariwen. Ce dernier album Sweet Release est sorti en janvier 2025 et est accompagné d’une tournée européenne, qui passe par Tatihou, pour notre plus grand plaisir.

An intoxicating blend of blues and Italian Taranta. Sweet Release is the second album from master musicians Justin Adams and Mauro Durante. Three years of worldwide touring have transformed what was originally a fusion project into a unique, fully-realized entity. Their musical landscape ranges from raw rockabilly to Sufi ecstasy to minimalism. A vast universe built on Mauro Durante?s experience in Taranta with Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino (who came to the festival twice in 2012 and 2024) and his work with Ludovico Einaudi, and Justin Adams? prolific career as a guitarist, lined with an impressive list of musicians, from Sinéad O?Connor to Robert Plant and Tinariwen. This latest album, Sweet Release, was released in January 2025 and is accompanied by a European tour, which includes a stopover in Tatihou, for our great pleasure.
