Festival Ateliers Jazz de Meslay-Grez : MARCH MALLOW – 28-05-2025 – Villiers-Charlemagne

Mercredi 28 mai 2025 – 20h30 Villiers-Charlemagne – Espace Corail Concert gratuit Astrid Veigne a la voix chaude et granuleuse, c’est un régal de l’entendre sur ce répertoire qui ne supporte pas les faux pas et auquel elle apporte âme et émotion Jazz Mag mai 2021. Suite à son premier album « A journey in time », essentiellement composé de standards de jazz (Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra…), le groupe franchit un nouveau cap, proposant un répertoire de compositions originales, dont certaines chantées en Français. Après être descendu du train et avoir marché le long du quai, nous voici au coin d’une ruelle, plongés dans une atmosphère noir et blanc, les réverbères diffusent un fil de lumière qui éclaire l’asphalte humide et les bouches d’égouts fumantes. Bientôt, nous repérons au loin une enseigne clignotante, celle d’un club de jazz. March Mallow nous plonge dans une ambiance teintée d'une certaine mélancolie envoûtante. Astrid VEIGNE, portée par un trio qui swingue, peut libérer sa grâce vocale et corporelle. Les époques se mêlent, les prises de conscience s’entrelacent tantôt soutenues par le swing, tantôt par les balades et le blues. La tension est palpable… Dans cette nouvelle proposition, March Mallow crée une passerelle émotionnelle entre le monde d’hier et celui d’aujourd’hui, éclairant notre sensibilité profonde et nos sentiments les plus sincères.

Following their first album, "A journey in time", essentially composed of jazz standards (Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra…), the group has taken a new step, offering a repertoire of original compositions, some sung in French. After disembarking from the train and walking along the platform, we come to the corner of an alleyway, immersed in a black-and-white atmosphere, the streetlamps diffusing a thread of light that illuminates the damp asphalt and steaming manholes. Soon we spot a flickering jazz club sign in the distance. March Mallow plunges us into an atmosphere tinged with a certain bewitching melancholy. Astrid VEIGNE, supported by a swinging trio, can unleash her vocal and physical grace. Epochs intermingle, awarenesses intertwine, sometimes supported by swing, sometimes by ballads and blues. The tension is palpable… In this new proposal, March Mallow creates an emotional bridge between the world of yesterday and that of today, illuminating our deepest sensibilities and most sincere feelings.

Mittwoch, 28. Mai 2025 – 20:30 Uhr Villiers-Charlemagne – Espace Corail (Koralle) Kostenloses Konzert Astrid Veigne hat eine warme, körnige Stimme. Es ist ein Genuss, sie bei diesem Repertoire zu hören, das keine falschen Schritte verträgt und dem sie Seele und Emotionen verleiht Jazz Mag Mai 2021. Nach ihrem ersten Album "A journey in time", das hauptsächlich aus Jazz-Standards (Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra…) bestand, geht die Gruppe nun einen Schritt weiter und bietet ein Repertoire aus Originalkompositionen, von denen einige auf Französisch gesungen werden. Nachdem wir aus dem Zug ausgestiegen sind und den Bahnsteig entlang gegangen sind, stehen wir an einer Ecke einer Gasse, in einer Schwarz-Weiß-Atmosphäre, in der die Straßenlaternen einen Lichtfaden verbreiten, der den feuchten Asphalt und die dampfenden Gullydeckel beleuchtet. Bald sehen wir in der Ferne das blinkende Schild eines Jazzclubs. March Mallow versetzt uns in eine Atmosphäre, die von einer gewissen fesselnden Melancholie geprägt ist. Astrid VEIGNE, die von einem swingenden Trio getragen wird, kann ihre stimmliche und körperliche Anmut entfalten. Die Epochen vermischen sich, die Bewusstwerdungen sind miteinander verwoben, mal unterstützt durch den Swing, mal durch Balladen und Blues. Die Spannung ist greifbar… In diesem neuen Vorschlag schlägt March Mallow eine emotionale Brücke zwischen der Welt von gestern und der von heute und beleuchtet unsere tiefste Sensibilität und unsere aufrichtigsten Gefühle.

Jazz Mag May 2021. Na hun eerste album 'A journey in time', dat voornamelijk bestond uit jazzstandards (Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra…), heeft de groep een nieuwe stap gezet met een repertoire van originele composities, waarvan sommige in het Frans gezongen. Nadat we uit de trein zijn gestapt en over het perron zijn gelopen, komen we op de hoek van een steegje, ondergedompeld in een zwart-witte sfeer, waarbij de lantaarnpalen een draad van licht werpen over het vochtige asfalt en de dampende riolen. Al snel zien we in de verte een knipperend uithangbord van een jazzclub. March Mallow dompelt ons onder in een sfeer met een zekere betoverende melancholie. Astrid VEIGNE, ondersteund door een swingend trio, kan haar vocale en fysieke gratie ontplooien. De tijdperken vermengen zich, de realisaties verstrengelen zich, nu eens ondersteund door swing, dan weer door ballads en blues. De spanning is voelbaar… In dit nieuwe aanbod slaat March Mallow een emotionele brug tussen de wereld van gisteren en die van vandaag, waarbij ze onze diepste gevoeligheden en meest oprechte gevoelens belicht.

Tras su primer álbum, "A journey in time", compuesto principalmente por estándares de jazz (Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra…), el grupo ha dado un nuevo paso, ofreciendo un repertorio de composiciones originales, algunas de ellas cantadas en francés. Tras bajar del tren y caminar por el andén, llegamos a la esquina de un callejón, inmerso en una atmósfera en blanco y negro, las farolas arrojan un hilo de luz sobre el asfalto húmedo y las alcantarillas humeantes. Pronto divisamos a lo lejos el letrero parpadeante de un club de jazz. March Mallow nos sumerge en una atmósfera teñida de cierta melancolía hechizante. Astrid VEIGNE, apoyada por un trío de swing, puede dar rienda suelta a su gracia vocal y física. Las épocas se entremezclan, las realizaciones se entrecruzan, a veces apoyadas en el swing, a veces en baladas y blues. La tensión es palpable… En esta nueva propuesta, March Mallow crea un puente emocional entre el mundo de ayer y el de hoy, iluminando nuestras sensibilidades más profundas y nuestros sentimientos más sinceros.

Dopo il loro primo album, "A journey in time", composto principalmente da standard jazz (Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra…), il gruppo ha compiuto un nuovo passo, proponendo un repertorio di composizioni originali, alcune delle quali cantate in francese. Dopo essere scesi dal treno e aver camminato lungo la banchina, arriviamo all'angolo di un vicolo, immerso in un'atmosfera in bianco e nero, con i lampioni che gettano un filo di luce sull'asfalto umido e sulle fogne fumanti. Presto scorgiamo in lontananza un'insegna lampeggiante di un jazz club. March Mallow ci immerge in un'atmosfera che si tinge di una certa ammaliante malinconia. Astrid VEIGNE, sostenuta da un trio swingante, può dare sfogo alla sua grazia vocale e fisica. Le epoche si mescolano, le realizzazioni si intrecciano, a volte sostenute dallo swing, a volte da ballate e blues.
