Exposition Métamorphoses du bois, Thierry Coraichon (1950-1987), avec la participation de Marc Averly, sculpteur. Le musée départemental du compagnonnage, Un site culturel du Département de Saône-et-Loire, présente une exposition consacrée à l'univers de Thierry Coraichon (1950-1987), artiste autodidacte et sculpteur sur bois. Forestier de métier, Thierry Coraichon a entretenu, dès son enfance, un lien intime avec la nature. Fasciné par le bois, il n'a cessé d'en explorer les formes, les veines et les singularités. Il perçoit dans chaque fragment une histoire à révéler plutôt qu'une forme à imposer. Son oeuvre, influencé par la philosophie, l'astronomie et l'histoire de l'art, témoigne d'une approche intuitive. Grâce à la générosité de sa famille, son travaille est aujourd'hui préservé et mis en lumière dans cette exposition qui invite à redécouvrir le bois comme un matériau vivant, porteur de sens et de mémoire. En écho à son univers, Marc Averly, sculpteur et collectionneur passionné, présente une xylothèque interactive. Ce précieux ensemble, composé d'environ 200 espèces de bois offre une expérience sensorielle unique, permettant d'explorer la richesse et la diversité du matériau que Thierry Coraichon chérissait tant. The Musée Départemental du Compagnonnage, a cultural site of the Department of Saône-et-Loire, is presenting an exhibition devoted to the world of Thierry Coraichon (1950-1987), a self-taught artist and wood sculptor. A forester by trade, Thierry Coraichon had an intimate relationship with nature from an early age. Fascinated by wood, he has never stopped exploring its shapes, veins and singularities. He sees in each fragment a story to be revealed rather than a form to be imposed. His work, influenced by philosophy, astronomy and art history, bears witness to an intuitive approach. Thanks to the generosity of his family, his work has now been preserved and brought to light in this exhibition, which invites us to rediscover wood as a living material, a bearer of meaning and memory. Echoing his world, Marc Averly, sculptor and passionate collector, presents an interactive xylotheque. This precious collection of around 200 species of wood offers a unique sensory experience, exploring the richness and diversity of the material that Thierry Coraichon so cherished. It's an invitation to discover wood in a whole new way.

Als gelernter Forstwirt hatte Thierry Coraichon schon als Kind eine enge Beziehung zur Natur. Er ist fasziniert von Holz und erforscht immer wieder dessen Formen, Maserungen und Eigenheiten. In jedem Fragment sieht er eher eine Geschichte, die es zu enthüllen gilt, als eine Form, die ihm aufgezwungen werden soll. Sein Werk, das von Philosophie, Astronomie und Kunstgeschichte beeinflusst ist, zeugt von einem intuitiven Ansatz. Dank der Großzügigkeit seiner Familie wird sein Werk heute bewahrt und in dieser Ausstellung beleuchtet, die dazu einlädt, Holz als lebendiges Material, als Träger von Bedeutung und Erinnerung, wiederzuentdecken. Als Echo auf seine Welt präsentiert Marc Averly, Bildhauer und leidenschaftlicher Sammler, eine interaktive Xylothek. Diese wertvolle Sammlung, die aus etwa 200 Holzarten besteht, bietet eine einzigartige sensorische Erfahrung, die es ermöglicht, den Reichtum und die Vielfalt des Materials zu erforschen, das Thierry Coraichon so sehr schätzte. Eine Einladung, das Material Holz unter einem neuen Blickwinkel zu entdecken.
