“À l’heure actuelle, mes paysages sont constitués de fragments de paysages réels ou imaginaires, ils se construisent par strates mentales, un peu sur le modèle des couches géologiques et inventent une nature propre à mon univers mais ouverte au regard de chacun. En cela, mes années aux beaux-arts en céramique ont laissé quelques traces. Quand je titre un tableau Marais d’Arz et qu’une personne me dit : Non, c’est l’Eure-et-Loir ! Et Non, la Suisse! dira un autre, je prétends que nous avons, tous les trois, raison : eux, dans leur volonté de s’approprier ma peinture pour s’y reconnaitre et moi en ce que cette œuvre est la résultante de ma propre culture…" Exposition visible aux horaires d'ouverture habituels du bureau d'information touristique.

at present, my landscapes are made up of fragments of real or imaginary landscapes, built up in mental strata, rather like geological layers, and inventing a nature that is unique to my world but open to everyone's gaze. In this respect, my years as a ceramics student have left their mark. When I title a painting Marais d?Arz and someone says: Non, c'est l'Eure-et-Loir! And "No, it's Switzerland!" to another, I claim that all three of us are right: they, in their desire to appropriate my painting and recognize themselves in it, and I, in that this work is the result of my own culture…" Exhibition on view during normal opening hours at the Tourist Information Office.

zurzeit bestehen meine Landschaften aus Fragmenten realer oder imaginärer Landschaften, sie bauen sich in mentalen Schichten auf, ein wenig nach dem Modell geologischer Schichten, und erfinden eine Natur, die meiner Welt eigen ist, aber dem Blick eines jeden offen steht. In dieser Hinsicht haben meine Jahre an der Kunsthochschule für Keramik einige Spuren hinterlassen. Wenn ich ein Bild Marais d'Arz nenne und jemand sagt: Nein, das ist Eure-et-Loir! Und Nein, die Schweiz! sagt ein anderer, dann behaupte ich, dass wir alle drei Recht haben: sie in ihrem Bestreben, sich meine Malerei anzueignen, um sich darin wiederzuerkennen, und ich, weil dieses Werk das Ergebnis meiner eigenen Kultur ist…" Die Ausstellung ist zu den üblichen Öffnungszeiten der Touristeninformation zu sehen.

op dit moment bestaan mijn landschappen uit fragmenten van echte of imaginaire landschappen. Ze zijn opgebouwd uit mentale lagen, zoals geologische lagen, en vinden een natuur uit die uniek is voor mijn wereld, maar die voor iedereen toegankelijk is. In dit opzicht hebben mijn jaren als keramiekstudent aan de Ecole des Beaux-Arts hun sporen nagelaten. Als ik een schilderij Marais d?Arz noem en iemand zegt: Non, c'est l'Eure-et-Loir! En nee, het is Zwitserland! zegt een ander, dan beweer ik dat we alledrie gelijk hebben: zij, in hun verlangen om zich mijn schilderij toe te eigenen zodat ze zich ermee kunnen identificeren, en ik, omdat dit werk het resultaat is van mijn eigen cultuur…" Tentoonstelling geopend tijdens de normale openingstijden van het VVV-kantoor.

En este sentido, mis años de estudiante de cerámica en la Escuela de Bellas Artes han dejado huella. ¡Cuando titulo un cuadro Marais d'Arz y alguien dice: Non, c'est l'Eure-et-Loir! Y no, ¡es Suiza! dice otro, afirmo que los tres tenemos razón: ellos, en su deseo de apropiarse de mi cuadro para identificarse con él, y yo, en que esta obra es fruto de mi propia cultura…" Exposición abierta en horario de apertura normal en la Oficina de Turismo.

attualmente i miei paesaggi sono costituiti da frammenti di paesaggi reali o immaginari, sono costruiti a strati mentali, un po' come quelli geologici, e inventano una natura unica del mio mondo, ma aperta allo sguardo di tutti. In questo senso, i miei anni da studente di ceramica all'Ecole des Beaux-Arts hanno lasciato il segno. Quando intitolo un quadro Marais d'Arz e qualcuno dice: Non, c'est l'Eure-et-Loir! E No, è la Svizzera! dice un altro, sostengo che tutti e tre abbiamo ragione: loro, nel loro desiderio di appropriarsi del mio quadro per identificarsi con esso, e io, nel fatto che quest'opera è il risultato della mia cultura…" La mostra è aperta durante i normali orari di apertura presso l'Ufficio informazioni turistiche.
