Exposition du reposoir en cristal – 23-06-2025 – Saint-Louis-lès-Bitche

Dans la cité cristallière de Saint-Louis-lès-Bitche existe un reposoir unique au monde. Témoin d'un art traditionnel, ce maître-autel complété par un tabernacle et un ostensoir est composé de 6000 pièces de cristal. D'une hauteur de 5 mètres pour une largeur de 5 m, l'œuvre réalisé par les maîtres-verriers de la cristallerie Saint-Louis au siècle dernier, a été exposé pour la première fois en 1910, dans l'enceinte de la manufacture. Il sera à nouveau exposé à partir du 22 juin jusqu'au 6 juillet 2025 de 13h30 à 18h00. Le 22 juin, journée placée sous le symbole de la Fête-Dieu, marquera le lancement de cette exposition exceptionnelle. Toute la journée à proximité immédiate de l'église, restauration et buvette seront assurées par le sapeurs-pompiers locaux.

The crystal town of Saint-Louis-lès-Bitche boasts a resting place that is unique in the world. Witness to a traditional art, this high altar completed by a tabernacle and a monstrance is composed of 6,000 pieces of crystal. Measuring 5 m high and 5 m wide, the work, created by the master glassmakers of the Saint-Louis crystal works in the last century, was first exhibited in 1910, on the premises of the factory. It will be on show again from June 22 to July 6, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm. June 22, a day dedicated to Corpus Christi, will mark the launch of this exceptional exhibition. Catering and refreshments will be provided by the local fire department all day long in the immediate vicinity of the church.
