Cette série a été peinte la nuit. Peindre l'obscurité, peindre dans l'obscurité, c'est déjà faire un choix. Celui de peindre la nuit relève d’un théâtre, d’une mise en scène de l’espace nocturne. Des couleurs jetées sur la toile, non pas pour reproduire la nuit mais pour l’épouser, ne faire plus qu’un. Cette symbiose se traduit par un voyage dans l’obscurité. La nuit est également le moment où l’humain est rendu à sa solitude, où la mise à distance des attraits du monde diurne favorise la méditation. Une déambulation picturale, jusqu’aux premières lueurs.

This series was painted at night. To paint in the dark, to paint in the dark, is already to make a choice. Painting at night is a kind of theater, a staging of nocturnal space. Colors are thrown onto the canvas, not to reproduce the night, but to marry it, to become one. This symbiosis translates into a journey into darkness.
