The poles, the abyss, hot springs and the upper atmosphere have long fascinated us and fed our imaginations. Inaccessible and hostile to our species, these extreme environments are actually home to an immense diversity of organisms.

Die Pole, die Tiefsee, die heißen Quellen und die Hochatmosphäre faszinieren uns und beflügeln seit langem unsere Vorstellungskraft. Diese extremen Umgebungen sind für uns unzugänglich und feindlich, doch in Wirklichkeit beherbergen sie eine enorme Vielfalt an Organismen.
