Just before the switch to daylight saving time and as we slowly head toward Halloween and All Saints’ Day, there will be a new edition of the Plant Swap! This municipal event, launched in 2012, is an environmental awareness initiative based on dialogue and collaboration between the City of Ligny’s Parks and Recreation Department—the project’s organizer—and local residents. It’s an opportunity to exchange plants, cuttings, seeds, vegetables, and even berries… but also to chat with fellow gardening enthusiasts about gardening techniques, flower arranging, and botany—and to gain new knowledge. Seeds and seedlings are available to everyone; nothing is sold or bought here—everything is free. People give away plants, and others adopt them! Free admission.

Entrada gratuita.
