Virginie Segers ~ Artiste peintre – Montcabrier

Installée à Montcabrier, dans le Lot, je nourris depuis toujours une passion pour le dessin. C’est lors d’un séjour en Afrique, en 2000, que je découvre véritablement la peinture, débutant à l’huile avec un style plutôt figuratif. Au fil des années, ma pratique évolue : j'essaie différents médiums et découvre l’acrylique. Je m’ouvre à l’abstraction et développe une démarche intuitive. J aborde chaque toile sans plan défini, laissant les couleurs et la matière guider mes gestes. L’œuvre se révèle peu à peu, s'affine et se précise doucement . J affectionne cette part de surprise, cette alchimie entre le hasard et l'émotion, entre l'instant et la matière.

Based in Montcabrier, in the Lot region of France, I have always had a passion for drawing. It was during a trip to Africa in 2000 that I really discovered painting, starting out in oils with a rather figurative style. Over the years, my practice evolved: I tried out different mediums and discovered acrylics. I opened up to abstraction and developed an intuitive approach. I approach each canvas without a defined plan, letting the colors and materials guide my gestures. Little by little, the work reveals itself, slowly refining and clarifying itself. I love this element of surprise, this alchemy between chance and emotion, between the moment and the material.

Ich lebe in Montcabrier im Departement Lot und habe schon immer eine Leidenschaft für das Zeichnen gehabt. Während eines Aufenthalts in Afrika im Jahr 2000 entdeckte ich die Malerei für mich. Im Laufe der Jahre entwickelte sich meine Praxis weiter: Ich probierte verschiedene Medien aus und entdeckte die Acrylmalerei. Ich öffne mich der Abstraktion und entwickle einen intuitiven Ansatz. Ich gehe an jedes Bild ohne einen bestimmten Plan heran und lasse die Farben und das Material meine Gesten leiten. Das Werk wird nach und nach enthüllt, verfeinert und präzisiert sich langsam. Ich liebe das Überraschungsmoment, die Alchemie zwischen Zufall und Emotion, zwischen Augenblick und Materie.

Ik woon in Montcabrier, in het departement Lot, en heb altijd een passie voor tekenen gehad. Tijdens een reis naar Afrika in 2000 ontdekte ik het schilderen pas echt. Ik begon met olieverf in een vrij figuratieve stijl. In de loop der jaren evolueerde mijn praktijk: ik probeerde verschillende mediums uit en ontdekte acrylverf. Ik stelde me open voor abstractie en ontwikkelde een intuïtieve benadering. Ik benader elk doek zonder een vastomlijnd plan en laat mijn bewegingen leiden door de kleuren en de materialen. Beetje bij beetje openbaart het werk zich, langzaam verfijnt en verheldert het zichzelf. Ik hou van dit verrassingselement, deze alchemie tussen toeval en emotie, tussen het moment en het materiaal.

Fue durante un viaje a África en 2000 cuando descubrí realmente la pintura, empezando con óleos en un estilo más bien figurativo. Con los años, mi práctica evolucionó: probé distintos soportes y descubrí el acrílico. Me abrí a la abstracción y desarrollé un enfoque intuitivo. Me acerco a cada lienzo sin un plan definido, dejando que los colores y los materiales guíen mis movimientos. Poco a poco, la obra se revela, se afina y se aclara. Me encanta este elemento de sorpresa, esta alquimia entre el azar y la emoción, entre el momento y el material.

Vivo a Montcabrier, nel dipartimento del Lot, e ho sempre avuto la passione per il disegno. È stato durante un viaggio in Africa nel 2000 che ho scoperto la pittura, iniziando a dipingere a olio in uno stile piuttosto figurativo. Nel corso degli anni la mia pratica si è evoluta: ho provato diversi mezzi e ho scoperto gli acrilici. Mi sono aperto all'astrazione e ho sviluppato un approccio intuitivo. Mi avvicino a ogni tela senza un piano definito, lasciando che siano i colori e i materiali a guidare i miei movimenti. A poco a poco, l'opera si rivela, affinandosi e chiarendosi lentamente. Mi piace questo elemento di sorpresa, questa alchimia tra il caso e l'emozione, tra il momento e il materiale.
