Les Jardins de Falune – Fléty

Aux Jardins de Falune, nous travaillons en couple : Christophe, qui est également consultant indépendant, et sa femme Fabienne. Nous y développons une activité de maraichage diversifié, incluant fraises, melons et pastèques, à laquelle viendra par la suite s’ajouter un verger et un poulailler. C’est en 2021 que nous nous sommes installés à Fléty, un village rural d'une centaine d'habitants entouré de bocages et de collines dans la Nièvre. La prairie auparavant pâturée par des vaches Aubrac se transforme en une ferme maraichère diversifiée. Dès 2022 nous avons été certifiés bio, avant le démarrage de notre première saison de maraichage en 2023. La surface de notre exploitation est de 1,3 ha. Elle comprendra à terme 1600 m² de cultures sous abris, 3000 m² de jardins en plein champ et 4000 m² de verger. Nous travaillons le sol en planches permanentes, et quelques jardins sont cultivés en maraîchage sur sol vivant. Pour fertiliser, nous apportons 30 tonnes de compost par an et alternons nos cultures avec des semis d'engrais verts, car nous nous orientons de plus en plus vers un maraichage respectueux de la terre et de la vie du sol. Pour protéger les cultures des ravageurs, nous installons des filets anti-insectes. Le but est d'apporter à nos clients des légumes sains, nutritifs, et produits localement.

At Jardins de Falune, we work as a couple: Christophe, who is also a self-employed consultant, and his wife Fabienne. We are developing a diversified market gardening activity, including strawberries, melons and watermelons, to which we will later add an orchard and a henhouse. In 2021, we moved to Fléty, a rural village of around a hundred inhabitants surrounded by hedged farmland and hills in the Nièvre region. The meadow previously grazed by Aubrac cows has been transformed into a diversified market-garden farm. In 2022, we were certified organic, before the start of our first market gardening season in 2023. Our farm has a surface area of 1.3 hectares. It will eventually include 1,600 m² of crops under cover, 3,000 m² of open-field gardens and 4,000 m² of orchard. We cultivate the soil using permanent beds, and some of the gardens are grown using live soil market gardening. To fertilise the soil, we use 30 tonnes of compost a year and alternate our crops with green manure sowing, as we are moving more and more towards market gardening that respects the earth and the life of the soil. To protect our crops from pests, we install anti-insect nets. The aim is to provide our customers with healthy, nutritious, locally-grown vegetables.

In Jardins de Falune arbeiten wir als Paar: Christophe, der auch als selbstständiger Berater tätig ist, und seine Frau Fabienne. Wir betreiben einen vielfältigen Gemüseanbau mit Erdbeeren, Melonen und Wassermelonen, später kommen ein Obstgarten und ein Hühnerstall hinzu. Im Jahr 2021 ließen wir uns in Fléty nieder, einem ländlichen Dorf mit etwa 100 Einwohnern, das von Hecken und Hügeln im Departement Nièvre umgeben ist. Die zuvor von Aubrac-Rindern beweidete Wiese verwandelte sich in einen vielfältigen Gemüsebauernhof. Ab 2022 waren wir biozertifiziert, bevor 2023 unsere erste Gemüsesaison begann. Die Fläche unseres Betriebs beträgt 1,3 ha. Sie wird langfristig 1600 m² geschützten Anbau, 3000 m² Freilandgarten und 4000 m² Obstgarten umfassen. Wir bearbeiten den Boden mit Dauerbeeten, und einige Gärten werden im Gemüseanbau auf lebendem Boden bewirtschaftet. Zur Düngung bringen wir 30 Tonnen Kompost pro Jahr ein und wechseln unsere Kulturen mit der Aussaat von Gründünger ab, da wir uns immer mehr in Richtung eines Gemüseanbaus bewegen, der die Erde und das Bodenleben respektiert. Um die Kulturen vor Schädlingen zu schützen, bringen wir Insektenschutznetze an. Das Ziel ist es, unseren Kunden gesundes, nahrhaftes und lokal produziertes Gemüse zu liefern.

Bij Jardins de Falune werken we met z'n tweeën: Christophe, die ook freelance consultant is, en zijn vrouw Fabienne. We ontwikkelen een gediversifieerde tuinbouwactiviteit, met aardbeien, meloenen en watermeloenen, waaraan we later een boomgaard en een kippenhok zullen toevoegen. In 2021 verhuizen we naar Fléty, een landelijk dorpje met een honderdtal inwoners omringd door omheinde landbouwgronden en heuvels in de Nièvre. De weide die vroeger werd begraasd door Aubrac koeien is omgetoverd tot een gediversifieerde tuinderij. In 2022 werden we biologisch gecertificeerd, voor de start van ons eerste tuinbouwseizoen in 2023. Onze boerderij heeft een oppervlakte van 1,3 hectare. Het zal uiteindelijk 1.600 m² bedekte teelten, 3.000 m² vollegrondstuinen en 4.000 m² boomgaard omvatten. We bewerken de grond met vaste bedden en een deel van de tuinen wordt bewerkt met levende grond. Om de grond te bemesten, gebruiken we 30 ton compost per jaar en wisselen we onze teelten af met het zaaien van groenbemesters, omdat we steeds meer overgaan op tuinbouw met respect voor de aarde en het leven in de bodem. Om onze gewassen te beschermen tegen ongedierte installeren we insectenwerende netten. Het doel is om onze klanten te voorzien van gezonde, voedzame, lokaal geteelde groenten.

En Jardins de Falune trabajamos en pareja: Christophe, que también es asesor autónomo, y su mujer Fabienne. Desarrollamos una actividad de horticultura diversificada, que incluye fresas, melones y sandías, a la que más adelante añadiremos un huerto y un gallinero. En 2021, nos trasladamos a Fléty, un pueblo rural de un centenar de habitantes rodeado de tierras de cultivo con setos y colinas en la región de Nièvre. El prado donde antes pastaban las vacas Aubrac se ha transformado en una explotación hortícola diversificada. En 2022, obtuvimos la certificación ecológica, antes del inicio de nuestra primera campaña hortícola en 2023. Nuestra explotación tiene una superficie de 1,3 hectáreas. Con el tiempo, contará con 1.600 m² de cultivos bajo cubierta, 3.000 m² de huertos al aire libre y 4.000 m² de huerto. Cultivamos la tierra mediante camas permanentes, y algunos de los huertos se cultivan mediante horticultura de tierra viva. Para abonar el suelo, utilizamos 30 toneladas de compost al año y alternamos nuestros cultivos con siembras de abono verde, ya que cada vez nos orientamos más hacia una horticultura respetuosa con la tierra y la vida del suelo. Para proteger nuestros cultivos de las plagas, instalamos mallas antiinsectos. El objetivo es ofrecer a nuestros clientes hortalizas sanas, nutritivas y cultivadas localmente.

Stiamo sviluppando un'attività di orticoltura diversificata, che comprende fragole, meloni e angurie, a cui in seguito aggiungeremo un frutteto e un pollaio. Nel 2021 ci siamo trasferiti a Fléty, un villaggio rurale di un centinaio di abitanti circondato da campi coltivati a siepi e colline nella regione della Nièvre. Il prato precedentemente pascolato dalle mucche di Aubrac è stato trasformato in una fattoria-orto diversificata. Nel 2022 abbiamo ottenuto la certificazione biologica, prima dell'inizio della nostra prima stagione di orticoltura nel 2023. La nostra azienda ha una superficie di 1,3 ettari.
