En 1987, à Cholet, Gérard le Goff, lance une marque pour enfants, inspirée des codes de la mode adulte, mêlant impertinence de ton et nouveau style casual et urbain. Son nom ? IKKS -qui se prononce d’abord X, puis distinctement, I.K.K.S. Fort de ce succès, le créateur prolonge l’expérience avec le lancement en 1999, d’une ligne femme, IKKS Women, et homme, IKKS Men, trois ans plus tard. Basées sur le même ADN créatif, toutes les collections proposent un vestiaire mi-rock mi-roots ; un parfait équilibre entre décontraction, authenticité et sophistication, rythmé par des matières brutes, patinées et naturellement used et une attention particulière sur les détails.
