Sur le tronçon situé chez nous, il part de Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef pour aller jusqu'aux Moutiers-en-Retz en passant par La Plaine-sur-Mer, Préfailles, Pornic, La Bernerie soit environ 37 km de pur bonheur iodé … Mais pour profiter d'une variante ou pour aller plus rapidement de Saint-Michel à Pornic, il existe depuis de nombreuses années, la "Vélocéan" que l'on nomme maintenant "Vélodyssée par les terres"  Ce circuit de 14 km coupe à travers la campagne et évite de faire le tour de la pointe.
